Paraglider flown to hospital after crashing into hill at Kariotahi Beach - Stuff

A paraglider had to be flown to hospital from Kariotahi Beach south west of Auckland after crashing into a hill during descent.

An Auckland Westpac Rescue helicopter was deployed to the beach around 3.40pm on Sunday, a spokesman for the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust said.

The woman, in her 20s, suffered multiple injuries.

She was flown to Middlemore Hospital in a moderate condition, he said.
