Rapid response helps save Quinn

On the 8th December 2012, 3 year old Quinn was found unconscious and not breathing on the bottom of a public swimming pool.

Quinns mother Sarena is full of praise for those that came to Quinn’s aid that day. “If not for the quick reaction of a fellow swimmer, who revived Quinn, and the fast response time of the rescue helicopter things could have been quite different for my family”.

“The lady who attended to Quinn was amazing and the sight of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter coming in to get my boy out of there as quickly as possible really brought it home to me just how lucky we are to have such incredible emergency services”

“We are quite isolated where we live in Kaukapakapa and the rescue helicopter and crew provide us all with the peace of mind in knowing that help is never far away”.

“I urge you to help the rescue helicopter in anyway you can, allowing the crew to get to their next patient as quickly as possible”.
