Seven people injured after car rolls on Muriwai Beach - NZ Herald

Seven people, including a teenager, were injured after a vehicle rolled at a beach on Auckland's west coast today.

A female in her teens is in Auckland City Hospital with serious chest injuries following the incident, while two other patients were moderately injured.

The patient suffering serious chest injuries was transported to hospital by the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

The Northland Emergency Services Trust (NEST) attended to the two patients who were moderately injured, flying one to Auckland City Hospital and the other to Starship Hospital.

Four other people were rushed to hospital by ambulance, and were suffering minor injuries.

The car was believed to have rolled just before 4.25pm on the main stretch of the beach.
