Xylon enjoys his sport. Apart from rolling his ankle, he’d never injured himself. That would change at school camp on Great Barrier. To be fair, his accident happened off-court. “We were trying to exit but the gymnasium’s glass door wouldn’t open,” Xylon explains, “I budged it with my shoulder and went right through! I didn’t feel any pain at first… there was lots of blood.” Xylon says he’s OK with the sight of his own blood and knew he’d be “alright” when he heard the chopper. If anything, take-off was a little scary. He’d receive seven stitches in his arm.
